I’ve decided to change the version numbering scheme from the next release to reflect the one specified at
http://docs.rubygems.org/read/chapter/7.

Releases will be numbered as:
“feature change.feature add.bugfix”

The next release will be 1.0.0 because the way the way settings are specified has changed.

Hopefully this will make upgrading smoother and clearer.
