How to add movies, svg, flash and other embedded objects
Victor Ng-Thow-Hing asked how to add rich content to a soks wiki.
What is possible at the moment is to upload the rich media and create a link to it (so that it opens in a separate window).
Click ‘Upload a new file’ on the right, click in ‘Type a title here’ and give it a new title (e.g. “movie of a swan”). Click to choose a file and then click save changes.
You can then link to the movie by typing the title of the page (e.g. writing “attached movie of a swan”).
What is not possible at the moment is to embed a piece of rich media in another page (using the embed tag). It has been added to the planned features and will be implemented eventually (Victor suggests a new page type so you can type “embedded movie of a swan” to mirror the “picture of a swan” that is used for static images).
